Boundary display
A boundary display is an informal determination of the boundary of a property. It is usually done when there is no dispute about the location of the boundary, but the boundary is to be marked on the ground with a wooden stake.
A boundary marker can be applied for by the owner or occupier of the property. The purpose of the boundary marking is to establish the location of the boundary of the property and is carried out on the basis of coordinate data or boundary dimensions shown on any delivery maps.
The boundary is not formally established or permanently marked on the land. The boundary marker is subject to a fee and is charged according to the service price list.
If the boundary marker has disappeared or there is a dispute and uncertainty about the location of the boundary, the property owner applies to the Land Surveyor’s Office for an official boundary display. For more information on boundary display, please visit the Land Registry website(siirryt toiseen palveluun).
A basic fee of €200 plus €0.50 per meter is charged for the boundary marker(display).
